Don Edmond Hoskins, born on October 4, 1935, in Leslie County, Kentucky, passed away on January 7, 2025, in London, Kentucky. He was 89 years old. He was a dedicated individual whose life was characterized by hard work and a deep commitment to his family and community.
Throughout his career, Don made significant contributions as a truck driver, coal miner, logger, and spent 30 years working at Begley Lumber. His work ethic was an exemplar of dedication, and he took pride in every endeavor he undertook.
In addition to his professional achievements, Don cherished moments spent outdoors. He had a love for fishing, hunting, boating, and camping. Whether riding 4-wheelers or simply enjoying nature's beauty, he found solace and joy in these activities. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories that they will hold dear.
Don is survived by his loving family. He is survived by one son, Wade Hoskins and wife, Virginia; two daughters, Donna Gail Williams and husband, Shirley, and Sharon Hoskins; two sisters, Joyce Mosley and Glenna Blackwell; two grandchildren, Kayla Marie Minton and husband, Roger, and Bobby Joe Hoskins and wife, Lauryn; and five great-grandchildren, Lane Russell McWhorter, Leah Paige McWhorter, Stella -Jhade Hoskins, Madilyn Kate Dezarn, and Ava Corelle Bowling. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Clyde Hoskins and Cumile Morgan; his wife, Stella Bray Hoskins; his sister, Celia; and his grandsons, Walter Bernard Morgan and Michael Blake McWhorter. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his strength, kindness, and unwavering love.
Funeral: Monday, January 13, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, Kentucky

Interment: Hoskins Cemetery, Hoskinston, Kentucky
Pallbearers: Wade Hoskins, Bobby Joe Hoskins, Shirley Williams, Roger Minton and Jacob Logan Fischer
Visitation: Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home
