Don Krock

Donald Arthur Krock age 98, passed away in Camarillo, on February 6, 2026. He was born in Los Angeles on November 25,1927. Don enlisted in the Navy in 1946, was based in Saipan and sailed aboard the destroyer USS Chevalier for two years after World War ll. Following his discharge from the Navy, Don attended USC. Don married his first wife, Barbara Fee, in March 1952 and had three children.

His initial work stops included an oil company and an insurance company, both for brief periods. Don found his true calling in the building industry. As a successful contractor, he was involved in building residential and tract homes, apartments, commercial and industrial buildings throughout Southern California. Towards the end of his contractor's career, he also acquired property and built for himself commercial properties.

Don married his second wife Doris LoPresti in March 1962. They later moved to Camarillo in 1983 and joined Las Posas Country Club where they enjoyed many years of golf and socializing with new friends. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the world.

Apart from golf, Don's other passions included flying. He was a pilot for many years and his Cessna 175 was his favorite "toy." He frequently flew to Canada for salmon fishing, San Diego for albacore, and duck hunting in Mexico. Don was also an early member of the Flubbers, who played golf every Friday morning. The Flubbers group was organized in 1984, and was comprised mostly of WW ll veterans.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Doris and his daughter Lora. He is survived by his son, Robert (Vicki), and daughters Carrie Givens (John), Lauren Scarmuzzi (Mike), 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa we will miss you!

The Celebration of Life will be held on March 27th at noon at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.
