My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted fans of Mr. Don Maddox. Mr. Don Maddox was a fiddle player in the pioneering country band the Maddox Brothers & Rose. He was greatly admired by his fellow artists and all those who knew him. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. Don Maddox. May his music and legacy keep his memory alive forever.

The Maddox Brothers and Rose were my Grandmothers first cousins She would talk about them occasionally. Smiths Institute, Al is where they were originally from. They were definitely pioneers in the bluegrass country music

I saw the Madox Brothers and Rose perform at the Old Fresno Barn north of Fresno in about 1952, 53 or 1954. I was 20 before I moved to Eureka from Fresno...
