Don "Duck" Murison

Don W. Murison, 83, long-time resident of Mansfield, passed away in Wenatchee on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Duck, as he has been known to everyone since he was a child, was born on June 25, 1942 to George and Dorothy (Papan) Murison in Wenatchee. He grew up on the family's farm near Mansfield, attended Mansfield schools and graduated in 1960.
He earned an AA degree from Spokane Community College and attended WSU also. He married Cheryl Buckingham in 1963. They lived in Los Angeles, CA for several years before returning to Washington and to farming on the Murison family farm in 1971.
Duck was active throughout his life volunteering and serving with the school board, various clubs and fraternal organizations.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Robert Murison. He is survived by brothers, Art (Cindy) and Ric Murison; sons, Troy (Tina) and Brad (Nikki); and five grandsons, Braydon, Jay, George, Max and Mason.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 13, at 11 a.m. at the Mansfield School. Ric Bayless, United Protestant Church of Mansfield, will officiate. Graveside service will follow at the Mansfield Cemetery. Arrangements by Jones & Jones ~ Betts Funeral Home of Wenatchee. Donations can be made in memory of Duck to Mansfield Scholars Foundation.
