Donald was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving spouse, Carla Lente; his children, Steven (Brenda), Donald (Adonna), Richard (Rose), Gene (Adrianna), Carla Jean, Dona Jean Watts (Bill) and Carla Ann Diaz (Joe); step children, Lawrence Garcia (Felicia), Alex Garcia (Jahnelle) and Andrea Wiederholt (John); 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Arthur Lente, whose memories of him will be treasured. Donald's strong work ethic and unwavering devotion to family will forever echo in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Lente; brothers, Walter and Edward Lente.
Donald Lente was born on December 1, 1932 in Gallup, NM, to Frank and Mary Lente. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later built a long and dedicated career with the Santa Fe Railroad, from which he retired.
Donald enjoyed spending his time playing golf and caring for his birds - simple pleasures that brought him great peace and joy.
