It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Don Lee Rogers, born on August 6, 1941, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He departed this life on December 27, 2025, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro, at the age of 84. Don was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

Don led a life marked by unwavering commitment to his family and his work. He was married to his beloved wife, Sharon Rogers for 63 years, and is survived by his son Brian (Kathy), daughter-in-law Dannelle, and five cherished grandchildren: Grant Rogers, Hailey (Josh) Westbrook, Abby Rogers, Drake (Magen) Daniels and Abbi (Abby) Smithee Daniels. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Dane and Dutton Daniels, his sister Pat Counts, and special niece Karen Neil.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Rogers; mother, Ione Rogers; sister, Edna Rogers; and son, Barry Rogers.

Don was a skilled HVAC technician and electrician, known for his meticulous attention to detail and perfectionism in every task. He founded Rogers Contract Service, where he took great pride in serving his loyal customers. No matter the hour, Don was always ready to answer the call of those in need, demonstrating a remarkable dedication to helping others. Beyond his professional prowess, Don devoted approximately 20 years of his life in service as a deputy sheriff in Pemiscot County during the late 1970s into the 1990s, reflecting his deep commitment to his community.

Don was an active member at First Baptist Church of Steele, having attended there his entire life. He had a very special relationship with his Sunday School class.

In addition to his professional life, Don was an avid gun collector and loved embarking on road trips, which allowed him to explore the world around him and create lasting memories with his family.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the public visitation, which will be held at the First Baptist Church in Steele on December 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at noon, providing an opportunity for all to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Don Lee Rogers.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived-a life dedicated to service, family, and the joy of helping others. Don leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and community spirit that will continue to inspire all who were touched by his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Steele or Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
