Services for Dona Jo Pippen, 92, of Ada, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Southwest Church of Christ. Mr. David Dirrim will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. The family will receive friends from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Dona passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at a local nursing home. She was born June 9, 1933, in Wewoka to William Andrew and Ethel Mae Roach Creech. Dona worked as a bank teller until her retirement.
Dona lived most of her life in Seminole, where she was a member of the Seminole Church of Christ while she lived there. She married Jack Arthur in March of 1960 and they adopted one son, Leon. Years later they had a daughter, Dana. Jack passed away on May 23, 2000.
Dona moved to Ada in 2003 and met Bill Hensley. They were married in August 2003. Through this union she gained another daughter and four sons, Marcie, Tim, Steve, Jon, and Mike. Bill passed away on December 24, 2004.
Dona would later marry Tony Pippen in May 2014. Through this union she gained another daughter, Tonya. Tony passed away on January 11, 2021.
Dona has been a faithful member of the Southwest Church of Christ since 2003.
She loved being with her family, seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to their ballgames and activities, gardening, sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, cooking, coloring, writing poems, making and sending cards, and attending ladies Bible Class.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Chilcoat and husband Greg of Ada, and Marcie Ellenberg of Ada; four sons, Tim Hensley and wife DeAmbra of Ada, Steve Hensley and wife Vanessa of Ada, Jon Hensley and girlfriend April of Ada, and Mike Hensley of Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Chilcoat and her children, Jayce, Jett, and Haivyn, of Ada; Sydni Chilcoat of Columbia, MO; Chelsea Ellenberg of Broomfield, CO; Austin Ellenberg of Denver, CO; Summer Ellenberg of Ada; Michael Dowell Barnes and wife Ashley of Ada; Dayton Hensley of Ada; Trenton Hensley, Adam Hensley and Owen Hensley, of Ada; Kait Hensley and Amberlei Hensley, of Ada; Ty Hensley and wife Madi and their children, Hudson and Wyatt, of TX; Jake Hensley of Texas; Nikki Johnson and husband Erik and their son, Gabriel, of Hollister, MO; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Creech; her first husband, Jack Arthur; her second husband, Bill Hensley; her third husband, Tony Pippen; son, Leon Arthur; daughter, Tonya Stevens; and brother, Lavern Creech.
Bearers will be Tim Hensley, Steve Hensley, Jon Hensley, Jeff Butler, Greg Chilcoat, and Mike Hensley.
