Donald R. "Don" Anderson, 90, formerly of Cetronia, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, PA. He was the husband of the late Veronica (Fetchko) Anderson, for 56 years prior to her passing on April 7, 2012.
Born in Pelican, LA, Donald was a son of the late John T. and Corda (Haire) Anderson. Don honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc., as a purchasing agent at their world headquarters in Allentown, PA, for over 20 years. Following his retirement from Mack, Don found a new purpose while driving school bus for the Parkland School District. For over 20 years, he transported hundreds of students, including his own grandchildren.
Don was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, had a love for sheltie dogs, and was a die-hard Philadelphia sports team fan. In his later years, Don frequently enjoyed reminiscing with his grandsons over a good cigar. His legacy will undeniably live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Don is survived by his children, Veronica L. (Moran), widow of Wayne D. Arehart, Fleetwood, PA, and Thomas R., husband of Linda S. (Leiby) Anderson, Schnecksville, PA; five grandchildren, Tracy L. (Arehart), wife of Ray Wahl, Kennett Square, PA, Timothy W., husband of Steph L. (Ardizzone) Arehart, Fleetwood, PA, Michael D.
