Donald R. Baker passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 95. Don was born to Darius Baker and Leona Russel Baker in Livingston, MT on April 9, 1930 and was a lifetime Park County resident.
On October 8, 1956, Don married Jane Hershman. They lived on their family ranch on the north fork of Willow Creek until moving into town in 2007. Don worked the ranch tending cattle and putting up hay. At the same time, he worked in the tire industry for close to 30 years before taking a position with the Park County Incinerator where he always came home with some kind of treasure. On his time off, Don loved hunting and fishing.
Don is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Marshall Baker and Elizabeth (Craig) Van De Polder; grandchildren, KaCey (Bri) Anderson, Jadeen (Zach) Anderson, and Zoey Baker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents and siblings, Lorraine Wentz and Edwin Baker.
