Donald Eugene Barnes

Dr. Barnes was the superintendent of the district where I attended K-8 and my confirmation mentor. He shared his faith with me and helped me write and revise my confirmation statement--memories that remain strong to this day.

My condolences to his family on his passing. He certainly had an impact on me through the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs and his D101 leadership.

My sincere sympathy. I donated a round sponsorship in Don's honor at the JTHS Foundation Trivia Event on March 8.

Please know that our prayers are with you at this time. It was always a joy to visit with Don at family events for the Bachman family.

Our condolences to all of you. Don and Raelene made us feel so welcome when we started attending First Pres in Joliet. Don made sure to greet us each week, and he always had great old stories about the Barnes family. We wish you peace and comfort in your loving memories of him.

Our deepest sympathy on your loss. I personally did not know Donny that well but I do remember some Barnes reunions and stories from my Mom (Peggy Barnes Rice) who passed in 2019. We just lost my Dad so I understand how difficult this is. May you find peace in all your memories of his life.
