Donald R. Berz, aged 64, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 6, 1960, Donald was a man of unwavering strength, deep kindness, and an enduring love for his family.
Donald's greatest joy in life was being a devoted father to his six children Carli (Rob) Carpenter, Christina (Aleksandar) Rajkovik, Mari (Mario) Lakaj, Michael (Kiana) Boike, Douglas Berz, and Desiree Berz.
He was also a proud grandfather to nine cherished grandchildren: Abriana, Anthony, Ava, Sophia, Isabel, Ana, Milijana, Mateo, and Shia. His love extended beyond his family to his loyal companion, his beloved dog, Patty, who brought him comfort and joy.
Donald was one of a kind-loud, full of life, and impossible to ignore. He had this amazing way of bringing people together, turning any gathering into something unforgettable. His booming voice, contagious laugh, and natural charisma could light up a room and lift everyone's spirits. He didn't just show up-he made sure everyone felt his presence in the best way possible.
Don had a knack for making quiet moments fun and turning everyday situations into great memories. Whether he was cracking a joke, sharing a story, or just walking through the door, he brought an energy that everyone loved being around. He made people feel important like they truly mattered, and his zest for life was inspiring.
He'll be missed more than words can say, but his legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments will live on in everyone lucky enough to have known him. Don wasn't just larger than life-he was the life of it.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Donald's life with a visitation and service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 2-8pm and a funeral service to be held at 6pm.
A burial will take place at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Michigan.
