Donald E. "Donny" Bowes Jr.

I know Donnie is getting excited this time of year to start the season at Fenway, the most electric place on earth and the place he loved to be.

I worked with Donny back in 1985-1986 at Gillette in Southie. We became close friends right away and hung out all the time. I remember one night at Cronins pub in Southie after work [2nd] shift, I bet him that he couldn't name 100 players that have ever played for the Red Sox. His eyes lit up as we got napkins and started to write them down. 10 minutes later I had lost the bet. Lol He loved that team like no one I've ever seen. DB you were bigger than life brother and I only wish we kept in touch. Til I see you next time, rest in peace and keep swinging for the fences.

My dearest friend, Dusty. The last texts we exchanged we expressed our love for one another. I will always cherish these texts. You were an amazing friend to me. Supportive, reliable, kind and compassionate. I cannot wrap my head around your not being here. I look forward to the day I see you again. Thank you being my friend.

Mr. Bowes, you are amazing. From the times i´ve seen you you lit up the room, being an amazing and positive person putting a smile to me and my buddies faces. I´ve made memories with Matt and you and everyone, and i´m looking forward to making more in your honor. All love

The loss of Donny´s presence at Gate A is inexplicable. Seeing Donny greeting fans with his positive energy and smiling face was as great as seeing a game go into extra innings with a win. Gate A will never be the same - ever!! Thoughts and prayers to the family and everyone who was lucky enough to be his friend. The world is a different place without you Donny!! I am lost for the words.. I´m so sorry just doesn´t seem to be enough. This is such a devastating loss to all his family and so many more. Donny will live on in the hearts of hundreds of people, for a very long time. So many wonderful memories.

Gate A and my Fenway days will never work be the same without 206´s infectious smile and welcoming voice.Every time I went into work Donny would always go out of his way to say hello no matter how far away you were.To Chrissy all the kids and all the Bowes family your are all in my thoughts and Prayers
