Donald C. "Diane" Brockett

Donald C. "Diane" Brockett, 67, of Burlington, Iowa, died Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home.
Born on July 14, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the child of Harry D. and Shirley A. (Connelly) Brockett.
Diane was a United States Army veteran. While in the Army she was stationed in Germany and was a tank driver. Diane worked for Burlington Basket Factory and later Shearer's Foods where she retired from. In Diane's free time, she enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and being outdoors. She also really enjoyed horseback riding, attending the Tri State Rodeo and riding her horse in the parade. While her time of living in Stockport, Iowa, she loved being a part of the V.F.W. and partaking in their different events, especially the parades.
She is survived by her mother Shirley Brockett of Burlington; brother Jeff (Rhonda) Brockett of Burlington; nephew James Brockett of New Hampshire; niece Becky Brockett of Vermont and sister in-law Patty Brockett of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, father Harry, brother Jesse Brockett and niece Angela Brockett.
Per her wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.
Interment will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the local Burlington V.F.W.
