Donald R. Brown

Donald R. Brown, 91, of Audubon, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on November 25, 2025. He was the devoted husband of the late Belinda Lucia (DeRocco) Brown, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage until her passing on October 1, 2012.
Born on May 14, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio, Donald was the son of the late Rodney and Grace (Wilhelm) Brown. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald, and his brother, Jim, and is survived by his brother, Tim.
After graduating from West Carrollton High School in 1952, Donald proudly served in the United States Navy as an air traffic controller aboard the USS Hancock and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Dad loved the outdoors and was happiest with a golf club or fishing pole in his hand. He even occasionally hooked a fish and found his golf ball. His unique passion for mushroom hunting kept him in the woods for hours, and most of the time he found his way out.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, late Denise, Belinda (Michael) Kelly, Bernice (Fred) Zeccardi, Donald (Suzanne) Brown Jr., Brenda (Michael) Haley, Barbara (Chris) Yankowich, and Bari (Joe) Harvey; 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403. A Memorial Mass celebrating Donald's life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment with military honors will take place the same day at 2:00 p.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
