Donald Duane Burgess

Donald Duane Burgess, 73, affectionately known as "Don" to those who knew him best, lived a life that was as vibrant, full and as fast as the cars he loved to race. Born on the 3rd of April, 1952 in Sayre, PA, to the late Harvey Burgess and Wilma Evans, one of 13 brothers and sisters. Donald's charisma was as infectious as his sense of humor, always ready with a quick joke to bring a smile to anyone in his presence. His adventurous spirit led him to a life filled with excitement and passion, whether it was dirt track racing, demolition derbies, hunting, fishing, or being the star chef at his beloved cookouts.

Donald is survived by his sons , Donald E. ( Emily Walker) Burgess of Ulster PA, and Cody D. Burgess of Ulster PA along with their mother Christina Coats. Grandchildren: Natalie and Levi Burgess of Ulster. Siblings: Roy (Terry) Burgess of Sayre, Jake Burgess of Litchfield, Alice Crossett of Waverly, Gene Burgess of Sayre, Martha (John) Meek of Millville, Barb Rockwell of Halsey Valley, Blanche (Francis) McIntire of Florida and Jerry Burgess of Silver Springs NY. Close friends: Victor Colavito of Towanda, Brandon French of Litchfield, Wes and Mo Walker of Waverly. Many more Nieces, Nephews and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Donald's vibrant life will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, from 11Am until 4Pm at the Ulster Fire Hall , 85 Rescue St Ulster PA 18850,
