Donald E. Burke

Donald E Burke, 92, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025. Don was born in Syracuse, NY. to Clarence and Mildred Burke on October 1, 1933. He graduated from Cathedral Academy and received a bachelor's degree in forestry from Syracuse University in 1955. He served in the U.S Airforce as rank of Captain. His professional career spanned 37 years with Wyeth Laboratory Pharmaceuticals, where he served as a regional sales manager, retiring in 1997.
Throughout his life Don was an avid golfer and word traveler. He played for Syracuse University, accomplished nine hole-in-ones, and won multiple club championships. He visited over 50 countries, loved Italian food, made friends everywhere he went and always enjoyed a good cigar in the evening.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary; brothers William and Russell.
Don is survived by his sister-in-law Maureen; nephews Timothy, Brian, Sean and Kevin; cousins Jim, Roberta, Peter, Andy and Alex.
A grave side service was held on November 10, 2025 in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus, NY.
