Donald J. Burns "Radar", age 81, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Greene County General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born December 8, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to George N. Burns and Elsie M. (Doolin) Burns.

Donald graduated from Manuel High School in 1962 before serving his country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He remained dedicated to service in the Army Reserve for 17 years, retiring in 1992. Following his military career, Donald worked at Citizens Gas Company for more than 33 years, where he was respected for his reliability and integrity as a Storage Field Operator.

Faith was central throughout Donald's life, and he was a devoted member of First Baptist Church. Family and friends will remember him for his steady presence, hardworking nature, and his enjoyment of life's simple routines. He was preceded in death by his parents.
