Donald G. Campbell

Donald G. Campbell, age 75 years, of Milford Borough, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Alexandria Township, NJ.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, October 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Donald P. and Charlotte (Joyce) Campbell. He grew up in Edison, NJ, but had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ for nearly forty years.
Don graduated St. Joseph's High School, Metuchen in 1966 and continued his education, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University. He was formerly employed as an engineer throughout his career. Most recently as an engineer for A'gere Systems Inc. in Allentown, PA.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, working on cars, and going to the dog park with his dog, Gracie.
Donald was an inquisitive, smart, jack of all trades man who was well respected by everyone.
Finally, he will be remembered as a great family man, who never missed an occasion. Someone who always showed up when it counted, and enjoyed many happy times at the homes of his 'extended' family Bobbi, Don and Tracy, Butch and Michelle, and at his sister Charl's.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marrie Campbell in 2022 and Stephen Campbell in 1998; his mother-in-law, Betty Schafer in 2010; as well as his former canine companions, Millie and Milford.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 28 years, Lori (Schafer) Campbell, of Milford, NJ; his siblings, Kenneth Campbell, of Aiken, SC, and Charlotte Brandenburg (Paul), of Pine Beach, NJ; and several nieces and nephews, Melissa Campbell-Vaughn (Darrell), Lauren Campbell, Paul Brandenburg (Kellie), Stephen Brandenburg (Olivia), Donald Brandenburg, Katelynn Danese, Savannah Schafer; his friend and father-in-law John Schafer, and good friend Anthony Danese; as well as his beloved canine companion, Gracie.
There is a celebration of his life being planned at a later date.
