Donald Eugene Clouse

Donald Eugene Clouse, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great - great - grandfather passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024
He was born on June 24, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, to William and Hannah (Thomas) Clouse. Donald was a pillar of strength and dedication, known for his commitment to his family, his work with the Laborer's Local 177 construction union, and his passion for traveling and working with his hands. Donald also served 7 years in the Army.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, William Clouse and mother, Hannah Hocker; his son, Rickie Clouse; brother, John Clouse and his sister, Sharon Starr.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Denise Clouse, and his children: Cheryl Clouse-Musfeldt, Ellen Clouse, Donna Johnston, and Michael Clouse. He is also survived by his cherished sisters, JoAnn Coop and Judy Hagmeier along with 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great - great - grandchildren all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy in his life.
A Lutheran funeral will be held for Donald at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church at 5615 SW 14th St, Des Moines, IA 50315 on September 14, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM. The committal service will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 7601 Fleur Dr. Des Moines, IA 50321, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clouse family.
