Donald Davis Obituary
SCOTIA - Donald P. Davis, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on August 3, 1943, to John and Gladys Davis.
Don was a computer programmer for Watervliet Arsenal for many years and later worked for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance. He enjoyed being outdoors camping, hunting or playing golf. He liked to go bowling and watching football no matter who was playing as long as it was a good game. He loved betting on the horses at the track and took many trips to the Casino.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Noel Davis; son, Donnie Davis; daughters, Tami Hunt (Brian), Dawn Bellamy (Edward), and Stephanie Berkman (Darren); grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Averie, and Ashtyn, brother Michael Davis; and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Gladys; brother, Nelson Davis; and sister, Mary Jo Harrington.
Don was a remarkable and generous man with strong character. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and devotion to his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, February 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Don may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My Condolences to Don's family. I worked with Don in the planning department and he taught me how to program. He was a great person, friendly and I enjoyed working with and knowing him.

I was very sad to hear the news of Don's passing. Don was a longtime and well-respected member of the Fineline Mixed bowling league. I met him and his daughter, Dawn, when I joined the league briefly in the early 1990s. I got to know him better when I returned to the league several years later and became the league secretary. Two things I will always remember about Don were his unique bowling style and, more importantly, that he was a hell of a nice guy. Always pleasant, always smiling and laughing, I don't think I ever heard him say a negative thing about anyone. A fact that was reflected in him being one of the earliest winners of the league's sportsmanship award, voted on by his fellow league members. I always enjoyed bowling with and against Don...always a tough and gracious competitor. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
