I worked with Don for a couple of years just prior to his full retirement in approx. 1991. We worked together in a tiny 2 person office trailer so we knew each other well. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to him, his knowledge, experiences, and attitude. He absolutely was a credit to our country.
I wish I could write more but I´m not good at this kind of thing. I will never forget Don and will always have fond memories.

On behalf of Ben's softball buddies in New York, we're all very sad that one of our most beloved players has lost a most important person in his life. Godspeed, Mr. DeShaney. You did good work on earth.
