Donald Ray Dew, aged 89, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025. Born on August 21, 1935, in Marmet, West Virginia, Donald led a life filled with love and cherished memories, eventually making his home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of East Bank High School and dedicated a significant portion of his life as a long-time autoworker, retiring from Chrysler.
Donald was a man of many passions. He found joy in fishing, golfing, bowling, and the spirited atmosphere of karaoke nights. Above all, he was devoted to his beloved wife, Frances, and his family, which included his daughters: Barbara (Michael) Marrero, Diana Dies (Ronnie Sloan), Donna (Bob) Lindley, and Cathy Postiy (Andy Lane). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Colleen (Jason) Segedy, Christopher Marrero (Courtenay Hollington), Derek Marrero, Donald Curtis Dew, Jason Dew, Maegen Postiy and Kevin Dies, along with his eight treasured great-grandchildren.
He is now reunited in spirit with his father, Rev. James H. Dew; mother, Ruby Faye Wamsley; brothers, Michael, Darrell, and James; and sister, Wanda. Donald's warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
