Donald "Don" Dawson Rozzell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on February 18, 1937, at Graham, to the late Mr. Steve Clem Rozzell and Mrs. Jessie Alma (Smith) Rozzell.
Don was raised in Clemscott and attended school in Graham, graduating in 1956. A life filled with love and dedication, beginning with his marriage to the love of his life, former Ms. Patricia “Pat” Jackson, on May 31, 1958, at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church. Don’s professional journey was marked by hard work and resilience. He began his career at Uniroyal Tire Manufacturing before transitioning into the oilfield sector, where he dedicated the remainder of his working years. A skilled entrepreneur, he owned and operated H & R Construction and served in various capacities for companies including Triple Dee Drilling, Chesapeake, Rozzell Construction, and Jolene Production as a lease operator. Most recently, he lent his experience to the Spring Operating Oil Company. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Don had a zest for life that resonated through his many hobbies. He found joy in team roping, coon hunting, and especially cherished his trips to Branson, Missouri, where he relished the performances of Daniel O'Donnell. His deep-rooted faith was reflected in his membership at the First Baptist Church in Healdton, where he embraced a supportive community. However, what truly defined Don was the love he showed to his family. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and chasing them around. Don's legacy is one of love, hard work, and an unwavering spirit.
