Donald Wayne Ferguson, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 20, 2024, at home in El Paso. He served as a deacon at both Cornerstone Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas for many years. He taught the senior adult Sunday School class for twenty years. After moving to El Paso, he taught the Children’s Church at El Paso Bible Church. He was the Space Allocation Manager for the Dallas division of the Kroger Company and represented Kroger at the Colonial Pro-Am golf tournament before retiring after 35 years in 2007. He was a member of the King’s Creek Golf Club where he won the club championship three times.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Caren Ferguson, his daughter: Kelly Michele Morten and her husband Todd, his grandchildren: Keaton, Ransom, Sunny, Stella, and Lily, as well as his nieces: Amy Duchworth and her husband Andy and Erin Fisher and her husband Trent, his nephew: Aaron Felts and his wife Veronica, his brother-in-law: Oney Hervey and his wife Jane, and many great nephews and nieces. His memory will be cherished by the entire family and his many friends.
