Donald "Donnie" Eugene Fields age 67, resident of
Fairland, Oklahoma, went to be his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by his wife and sons. Born July 18, 1957, in Gravette, Arkansas. to J.C. and Betty Fields. Donnie was a member of The First Assembly of God in
Fairland, Oklahoma, where he was active with the men's ministry, jail ministry, a beloved van driver, and sponsor of the Alive Youth Group. Donnie graduated with the class of 1976, in Grove, Oklahoma, where he affectionately referred to it as "Grove University". Donnie grew up running in the woods and fields of Grove and rural Southwest City, Missouri, on the beloved family farm known as "the old place". His memories were filled with summers with siblings and cousins playing in the creek at Grandma Lena's and the falls filled with hunting with brothers. Donnie met and was married for forty-one years to a sassy green-eyed girl from
Fairland, Oklahoma, on November 3, 1984. Together they had two sons who they raised in Fairland. Donnie worked for twenty-four years and retired from N.E.O. A&M College in
Miami, Oklahoma. He was a well-known and admired farrier for fifteen years where he made and had many cherished friends. He served on the Fairland Fire & Rescue Department for twenty years. Donnie loved anything to do with the outdoors. He loved hunting in the mountains and fly fishing in the canyons of Wyoming with his sons Keeley and Noah. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and crafting arrow heads. Those left to share in his memory are his wife Lisa of the home, and their sons, Keeley Fields his wife Sierra of Glenrock Wyoming, Noah Fields and his wife Whitney of Douglas Wyoming, his sons Chris Fields and Amber of Zena, Oklahoma, John Fields and Carly of Zena. Grandchildren Marisa and Ty McMichael of Orange, Texas, Sierra Fields and Ricky of Jay, Oklahoma, Blazie Lowe of Cassville, Missouri, Paisley Chandler of Mont Pelier, Indiana, Keedon and Kylee Fields of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Maverick Holderbee of Glenrock, Wyoming, Zoey, Emma, Cooper, and Henley of Douglas, Wyoming, and great grandson Edward. Along with his beloved pets Finley and Capone. Brother Mike Fields and wife Damaris, sister Jane Summerfield and husband Virgil, brother Rick Fields, brother Dewey Fields and wife Anita, sister Dolly Fields, Carey Dean Fields and wife Taryn.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to donate to the youth and children's programs at the Fairland First Assembly of God.
Visitation for Don will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the First Assembly of God in Fairland.
Services for Don will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the First Assembly of God in Fairland, with Reverend Jackie Crafton officiating. Interment will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
