I called Donald my Uncle Donald this is how I have always known him since I was as small as I can remember. Uncle Donald lived in Hudson right down the road from me and was always at my house having coffee with my mom and would talk for hours on end. He was my most favorite relative in my whole family. He was always there for me through thick and thin, all my ups and downs no matter what. He always had his own special way to make me smile and tell me how very special I was to him and to everyone. We were going to go on many trips together but never got around to it as life gets in the way. Uncle Donald was my best friend, my rock of Gibraltar, and like a father to me. I lived with Uncle Donald for a while in 2015 and 2016 and what an amazing time we had together. He taught me so much about life and just how to be. We prayed every day and he always made me say every morning "Every day in every way I'm getting better and better" and I still say this everyday. he was a great man who traveled the world teaching and helping anyone and everyone he knew all he could just to help them to be better and better in every way possible and loved everyone so much. Just about 12 hours before he left this earth I asked him not to go please. Life is going to be extremely difficult without him in my life. He always gave me the strength to keep going and knowing that I can do anything in life, he gave me so much love and so much happiness. I will miss him with every piece of my heart. I love him so very much. This was a great man who will be so missed by so many people.

Don was a good friend and a good man. Our family would regularly invite Don over for gatherings and we loved it when he was able to attend. Don was full of knowledge and wisdom which made him great to talk to. He was also kind, caring and funny. He genuinely loved to converse with others, listen to what they had to say, and teach them what he knew. One thing that Don also loved to do was read, and he shared this love with me as he gave me many of his books. Theses books will always serve as a reminder of the admirable man that Don was. I am grateful to have known him, and that he was a friend of the family.

Don was a wonderful brother-in-law. He always made time for family and friends, giving whatever he could to make life happier and fuller for everyone with which he came in contact. He was amazing and never asked or looked for anything in return. He was trusting and honest, setting examples by what he did in life. He once told me "nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care." I have found his words to be so true. We often talked about the meaning of life, and about material things not being what is important. He said sometimes you get what you want but, you didn't want what you got! Sure made me think! He will be missed. One day I shall challenge him to a game of chess again!

Don was a wonderful friend to our family. We loved it when he would come over for family gatherings. He was a wonderful conversationalist, a humble servant and a true joy to be around. His smile showed how truly full of life he was, always eager to grow and learn. We admired Don and he will be missed. We are blessed to have known him. My kids will never forget who taught them their French!!!
