Donald Edward Good

Donald Edward Good, age 67, of Grosse Pointe Woods, died suddenly at his home December 22, 2024.
Donald Edward Good was born on November 2nd, 1957 in Pontiac, MI. He grew up in Milford, MI. He ran cross country and played in the marching band at Milford High School, highlighted by his performance at the Indy 500. He decided to follow in his mother's footsteps and became a nurse. He and his beloved, adopted a leader dog dropout named Magic and moved to the family cottage (party spot for the Good boys) at Bass Lake in Commerce Township, MI. Magic would be a quintessential part of his life and would prepare him for his greatest role yet, fatherhood. In June 1991 and again in February 1995 he became the proudest title of all, dad. Don moved with his family to Grosse Pointe Woods, MI in 1998 where he would live for the rest of his life. At nights he worked his way to receiving a BA in Finance from Walsh College. He dedicated over 30 years at the Detroit Medical Center in finance management. He loved playing and watching golf (especially with his boys), the Detroit lions, was an avid photographer in his younger years, cooking, and ice cream (if you pulled his arm). Don will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his strong work ethic, but most importantly for his love of family. He is predeceased by his parents Don and Ethel. He is survived by his sons Zachary and Benjamin (Taylor); his granddaughters Rori and Mace; his sister Carolyn Kibbe; his brothers William and John; and his nieces and nephew. The family has requested that instead of flowers please donate to the Humane Society. The family invites family and friends for a service at 11:00 AM on Sunday, 05 January 2025 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home located at 5391 Highland Rd, Waterford, MI 48327. A reception will be held at Shark Club following the service at 6665 Highland Rd, Waterford Township, MI 48327.
