Gordon Donald N. Gordon, 79, Manheim, PA, died Monday, June 20th at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Harry and Kathryn Shank Gordon. He was a 1950 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. Donald was married to Georgia A. Ott Gordon for 56 years on August 20th. Surviving in addition to his wife are 4 sons, Bruce W. (Wanda), David N. (Michelle), Michael C. (Kasey), Donald N. (Deborah); 2 daughters, Donna L. (John) Zogby, Deborah L. (Darryl) Grube; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Gordon. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Wilbur H., Carl F., Robert E. and Richard L. Donald entered the US Air Force in February 1953 and retired after serving for 22 years. A proud moment for Donald in his military career was when he had the distinguished honor of discharging Col. Edwin Eugene (Buzz) Aldrin from the USAF in March 1972. He also retired from the US Post Office in 1998. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers, boxing, and coin collecting. He also enjoyed his grandchildren’s visits. Donald’s Life Celebration will be held at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 26 Owl Hill Rd., Lititz on Friday, June 24th at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, E. Hanover Twp., PA. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Please omit flowers. If desired memorials may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster Co., P.O.
