Don was a great friend , to my parents Bob and Pauline Stemmer. We send our deepest condolences to your family. He will be missed by my dad who loved taking and reminiscing about the old days...

It is with a sad heart that we say goodbye to Don. We extend our deepest condolences to Lucille and the rest of Dons family. It may be many years since we had so much fun bowling with Don and Lucille, but we will remember those times forever. Don was always ready for a good joke and was always in good humor. He was always fun to be around. May he now rest in peace.

That smile says it all. When I think of Don I always have that image of his smile. It was always present. Having grown up on Blandina St. in Utica, the Grabowski's were our neighbors. Don always found time to talk and commiserate about our growing up years. Thouhj it's npt mentioned in his obituary, I believe he was the first Onida County Legislator. I remember going to the state office building, un-announced, and meeting with Don. There was nothing he couldn't do for me. But my greatest joy was congratulating him on his new position. Before that I remember him pumping gas at a gas station on French Rd. , when I worked at G.E.
The obituary says it all!!!
My condolences to his family. Rest in peace Dear Friend.
