Donald Elbert Hardison, 80, passed away on August 18, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Donald was born in Arapahoe, NC on July 29, 1945, to Duval and Mary Hardison. After attending Pamlico County High School, he completed the EMT training at Pamlico Tech and proudly served the people of Pamlico County with the Pamlico County Rescue Squad. Donald worked at Stanley Tools before going on to a career with NARF-MCAS Cherry Point / NADEP, where he worked until retirement. Donald was a huge wrestling fan since his youth and loved NASCAR.
Donald was predeceased by his parents and brother, Charles Duval Hardison of Arapahoe. He is survived by his brother, John Gary Hardison (wife, Teresa) of Arapahoe; his sister, Rhonda Hardison Glaser (husband, Ed) of Reelsboro; his sister-in-law, Sarah Green Hardison of Arapahoe; his niece, Leslie Muse (husband, Jason) of New Bern; and many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 22nd from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, prior to the Celebration of Life at 11:00 am at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Timmy Hardison officiating.
