Donald "Alan" Harper
Alan was born on May 28, 1955 in Portsmouth, VA to Ronald and Jean (Simmons) Harper. He passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.
After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy as a jet mechanic.
Later he worked for over 40 years at the State Forestry and the IFA Nursery in Elkton, OR, retiring in 2024.
In December of 1986 he married Debra (McClure) Abraham and they settled in the Elkton area and later in Oakland.
He loved fishing, working on his home and property with lots of projects and visits to Home Depot. He loved being with his wife Deb and their children. He was well loved as a brother to the McClure family.
Survivors include Deb, wife; 3 sons, Jeffrey Abraham (Lokee), Robert Harper (Crystal), Timothy Abraham; and daughter Melissa Harper (Josh O'Connor); brothers Barry and Reggie Harper; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death are parents and sisters, Angelina and Valerie.
