Donald Howard

Donald Howard 82, of Alexandria, KY passed away February 21, 2016. He was born May 3, 1933 to Clarence & Rosella Howard. He was married to Beverly Howard and resided in south Newport for 30 years. He was a Foreman Mechanic for the City of Newport, when he retired he moved to Alexandria, built his own home and even named it Ponderosa, there he started Don's Radiator Services. He volunteered his services as far reduced rates and free for less fortunate people. He worked on trucks for Southern Campbell Fire Dep't, and was always there to help anyone in need. He valued his family & friends, enjoyed long cruises going to Florida every year. Howard was filled with knowledge and wisdom, he loved swapping stories & jokes, & never passed up a good book or playing games. He preceded in death by his grandchildren Amanda(Matt) Holtman & Logan Holtman. He leaves behind his wife Beverly (Conover) Howard who shared a storybook love, daughters; Vicki Howard Gugel(Tom Witt), & Pamela H. North (Brandon Thomas), sons; Terry (Leah) Howard & Tim Howard. Grandchildren; Troy (Sharlotte)Gugel, Janie(John)Fox, Amanda Holtman, Jennifer (Ian) Allen, Jessie (Chris)Miller, Alex Howard, Sara Howard. Great Grandchildren ; Emma & Elexis Gugel, Austin Alsip, Khiaya ,Colin, Bailey & Blake Fox, Alyissa Holtman, Bryana & Christian Gallegos, Juan Gonzalez, Alexis & Landon Miller. Brothers; Ralph (Sharon) Howard, George (Ann)Howard, Gary (Jan)Howard, & Leroy (Bobbie) Howard. Sisters; Doddie Howard (Ray)Leigh & Lois Jean Howard (Tony)Bays, along with many cousins, nieces & nephews and loving friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria from 3~7pm, with services starting at 7pm. Burial will be private.
