Donald "Don" E. Ingersoll, 80, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1945 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Gene and Margaret Ingersoll. Don was a 1964 graduate of Kenmore High School and was a United States Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. Don then went on and graduated from the University of Akron as an Electrical Engineer. He retired from Akron Standard as a Field Service Manager. Don was a member of Sandusky Sailing Club and enjoyed racing his sailboat on Lake Erie. He loved to be on the water fishing and kayaking and thoroughly loved cooking. Preceded in death by his wife, Jerilyn Ingersoll; brother, Ronald (Diane) Ingersoll and sister, Barbara Kulick.Don is survived by his brothers, Robert (Sandy) Ingersoll and Norman (Joyce) Ingersoll; nieces, Sarah, Jamie, Tina and Aimee; nephews, Ward and David and close friend and companion for nine years, Jeannie Caputo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, followed by his funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rod Grabski officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd., #260, Independence, Ohio 44131.

We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. Gary absolutely loved getting together with his cousins. He had great chilhood memories with you all and
cherished them. We are sending hugs and prayers that they were there to welcome Don home. He certainly seemed to really enjoy his life with each and everyone of you.
