Donald "Don" Frederick Ireland, age 77 of Wetumpka, AL passed away November 25, 2025. He was born May 14, 1948 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Charles and Ella Ireland. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He married Genevee "Jen" Williams on July 2, 1982 and they loved each other for 43 years. He was an active member of the church and served the Lord as music minister and deacon throughout his years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived and missed greatly by his wife; his children, Scharlene Alfonso (Manny), Marty Caudill (Bryneth), Rachel Fisher (Jason), and Kevin Ireland (Beth); his grandchildren, Jonathon Carr (Amanda), Brittney Nettles (Lighter), Ella and Lincoln Fisher, and Raylan and Genevieve Ireland; his great-granddaughter, Rylee Carr; his brothers, John Ireland (Jamie) and Ron Ireland; his sisters, Karen Ireland and Patsy Freeman; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
His life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29 at Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 am and funeral services will follow at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to a charity of choice.
