Donald L. Jacobs was full of life and always made others laugh or listen to a song that touched him deeply. He grew up in Yakima, Washington, and attended both West Valley and Eisenhower High Schools. It was commonplace to see Don around animals. He grew up in 4-H and helped raise his family's horses, rabbits, sheep, and various farm animals. He played football, basketball and participated in track and field throwing events throughout his high school career. He continued his passion for basketball while attending Spokane Community College.
He launched his career in his early twenties by becoming a Millwright. He continued to progress in his career, ultimately becoming a supervisor. He was loved and respected by his Millwright co-worker brothers and sisters across the country, and many sought out Don's projects, as they wanted to work for and with him. He made work feel like family.
He always put others first and loved them with his whole heart. His cousins, children, grandchildren, brother, mother, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, and friends adored him.
Don absolutely loved jet skiing, boating, camping, dirt biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity. If you were a friend of Don's, you were treated like family and a friend for life. He was loyal, witty, intelligent, genuine, and kind. He will absolutely be missed and in our hearts forever.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Katrina, father, Charles, and his father's twin brother, Uncle Carl. He leaves behind his four children, Jake, Nanette, Seth, and Sam, as well as his mother, Nancy, brother, Dennis, and many dear grandchildren, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2:00pm, at 4408 Main Street, Union Gap, WA. To RSVP, please visit the link found on Don's page at www.brooksidefuneral.com.
