Donald S. 'Twapper' Lilly

Donald S. "Twapper" Lilly, 94, formerly of Bowmanstown, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, in the Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. He was the widower of the late Millicent "Millie" (Lorah) Lilly, who died in 2014.

Born in Slatington, Donald was a son of the late Samuel T. and Estelle (Walters) Lilly.

He was a 1949 graduate of Slatington High School, where he was an outstanding athlete and was inducted into the Slatington Sports Hall of Fame.

Donald was employed as a life insurance agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years.

Donald was a pillar in the Bowmanstown community and was known to bring the community together. He enjoyed his family, friends, sports and the great outdoors.

Donald touched many young lives and lived a great life! His warm spirit and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Donald is survived by his three children, Duane "Skip" Lilly, and his wife, Chris, Brian "Snap" Lilly and Kathy Lilly-Chrapacz, and her husband, Terry; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity and laughter.

Services: Services will be held privately by his family. Burial will be held alongside his wife in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Bowmanstown. Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Topton and Kutztown, is in charge of arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting Twapper's obituary tribute page at www.Ludwickfh.com.

Sorry for your loss Kathy Skip Snap Twap was a great guy always enjoyed his visits to my mom and dads house as our insurance agent always loved that big smile he had and when Snap and him would ride their horses down Fireline on his big beautiful gray horse and all the time in the gym at your house I´ll never forget that RIP Twap
