Don was our neighbor across the street on Logan Avenue. He was older, but remeber he was good friends with John Dibert, who lived next to us. Jimmy Dibert (Johns brother) is still my best friend. I remember the story my mom told us about the time Don got his finger cut off in a reel mower while cutting grass for Ms. Schotts. Mom was able to help bandage it till he could seek medical help. We were a close knit community, even shared a party phone line with Mackelwees. Don was always working on cars, it was his passion. I remember my Stepbrother, Tom Marasek and I would hang out in Dons garage getting cars ready to race at National Trail Raceway out east. A good man, Rest in Gods Peace!

Don was a wonderful friend to my mother and father for more than 60 years. He was always there for our family. What a great human being. Our deepest condolences to the family.

I really liked playing Euchre with Don because he was so gentle and kind and he made me laugh. I will miss his presence and smiling face. May God watch over you and comfort you in your grief.....With all my love to his family.

Don was a wonderful euchre player. He would come rolling into the Westerville Senior Center ready to play cards. Always made you smile. Don, "order it up and go alone", show them how it's done in heaven. You will be truly missed, and will never be forgotten.
