It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Donald Joel Megahan, who left us on May 9, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 18, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Donald was the cherished husband, son, and one of eight children, of the late Donald Megahan and Wilma Pearl Parks Megahan. He brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Donald served his country from 1963 to 1966. His commitment to service and dedication to others were hallmarks of his character. After moving to Cedar Hill, Texas in 2000, he became an integral part of the local community. Donald enjoyed a rewarding career as a delivery driver for DFW Express, where his friendly demeanor and work ethic made a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
Faith held a central place in Donald's life as a devoted member of Living Hope Bible Church in Mansfield, Texas. He actively participated in the Men's Ministry, where he built lasting friendships and shared his passion for faith with others. Donald found joy in the beauty of the outdoors, taking his children and grandchildren fossil hunting and relishing moments spent in his garden, cultivating life and nurturing the earth
