Donald R. Meyer (1943-2013) CEDAR FALLS- Donald R. Meyer, 70, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, December 12, 2013, at his home. He was born January 31, 1943, in Waverly, son of Raymond and Dorothy Keller Meyer. He married Margaret A. Cranston on June 12, 1965 in Cedar Falls. She died March 19, 2010. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1961 and owned Meyer Plastering and Midwest Asbestos, retiring in October 2008. Survived by: two daughters, Kristen (Jeff) Byers of Cedar Falls and Lynn (Robert) Gottschalk of Bethesda, MD; a son, Chad (Rebecca) Meyer of Roswell, GA; six grandchildren: Jacob and Lucas Byers, Ashley and Nicholas Meyer, Katherine and Anne Marie Gottschalk; two brothers, David (Claudia) Meyer of Dike and Dean (Deb) Meyer of Waterloo. Memorial Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service. Memorials may be directed to the church.
