Donald Lloyd Nickerson Sr Beloved husband, father, grand and great grandfather unexpectedly passed away on November 22nd, 2025, after a very brief illness. Born on August 24th, 1947, in Belfast ME, Donald married his teenage sweetheart Donna Sue Nickerson (Stacey) of Jackson ME 58 years ago.

Together they build a warm and loving home while they raised their 3 boys

Donald, by many known as Don, was a musician at heart, a true gentleman admired and loved by so many. Leader of his band "Country Mist" playing gigs all through New England and beyond for over 50 years. He is leaving behind a legacy, and his smooth country voice will carry on.

Recently he helped breathe life back into the Jackson church through faith and music

Donald was a dedicated Fire chief in town of Jackson for 40 years. He was a corner stone in the community of the town of Jackson. Always the 1st to lend a helping hand. Donating many hours of community service which included building the Jackson fire station and town office.

He was widely known as a true gentleman, always a smile on his face, singing and leaving behind a warm impression with whomever he encountered. He will be deeply missed by many

Donald was predeceased by his oldest son Donald (Donnie) Lloyd Nickerson Jr, his brother Daniel, sisters Dale Nickerson and Donna Moody (Nickerson), his mother Geneva Martz and father Paul Nickerson

He is leaving behind his wife Donna Sue Nickerson (Stacey) of Jackson ME, his middle son Eric Leroy Nickerson and his wife Jeanine Nickerson of Jackson ME, his youngest son Anthony Paul Nickerson and wife Marrije Nickerson of Jackson ME. Grandchildren Amanda, Nik, Spencer, Donna, Karson and Grace and several great grandchildren

His brothers David and Duane Nickerson, brother and sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews

A celebration of life will be held on Dec 7th from 1-3 at the Jackson community center
