Donald Ray Parchman, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Bells, TN. All services are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home.
Mr. Donald was born in Fulton, KY, to the late Waylon Cecil Parchman and Lona Ester Webb Parchman. He proudly served his county in the United States Army and honorably served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church of Friendship, TN. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, everyone listened. He loved being outside and was known to have a green thumb, reviving brown, lifeless plants with his love and care. He loved his kids more than life. His grandkids and great-grandkids brought him immense joy. He was also preceded in death by his wife of over 38 years: JoAnn Robinson Parchman; and one grandson: Eli Towater.
He is survived by one son: David Larry Burruss, Jr. of Bells, TN; two daughters: Stacie Fowler (Neal Towater) of Bells, TN, Celesta Burruss (Russell Vaughn) of Dyersburg, TN; one brother: Tony Lynn Parchman of Austin, TX; one sister: Beverly Parchman Beyster (Ed) of San Antonio, TX; He leaves a legacy of fifteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The Parchman Family are honoring his wishes for cremation and further information will be announced as it becomes available by the Bells Funeral Home.
