Donald Pownall Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 22, 2025.
Donald (Don) Pownall
1941-2025
Donald (Don) Pownall was born to Walter and Muriel (Walker) Pownall in Burley, Idaho on July 15th, 1941 and went to be with his Lord on November 19th, 2025.
He moved to Yakima at an early age and graduated from Davis High School in 1960.
He married the love of his life Delores (Dee) Reidinger in 1963.
Don grew up bird hunting with friends and his brother Tom. He enjoyed his Springer Spaniels who were great hunting dogs. When his boys were old enough, he enjoyed hunting with them as well.
Don retired from Associated Grocers. He was always a car guy and enjoyed old classic cars. In his retirement years, he started collecting and restoring old gas pumps and petroleum items.
He most enjoyed his time with family and his granddaughters and great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanie Morgan and brother Tom.
He is survived by his wife Dee and two sons: Dean (Lynn) of Ellensburg, Darren (Jill) of Snohomish and two granddaughters, Marissa Storm and Annalise Stanage and two great grandsons, Aiden and Austin Storm.
The family wants to thank KVH Hospice (Sharen) and all the staff at Mountain View Post Acute for all their special care for Don and his family.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
