Donald Price Obituary

Born September 16, 1939, in Thomastown, MS, to Robert Lee Price and Alice Lorraine Ellis Price, Don devoted his life to education and enriching the lives of others. He earned both his undergraduate and Master's degrees in Education from Memphis State University.
Don's career as an educator spanned many years, teaching English and Spanish in the Tennessee Public School System and later at the college level. In his later years, he found special fulfillment teaching English as a Second Language, sharing his love of language and culture with students from around the world.
A man of many interests and talents, Don embraced life to the fullest. He was a world traveler, an actor in local theatrical productions, and proudly served as a judge for the Miss Tennessee Pageant. His intellect, humor, and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Duck Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Eric Brian Price of Old Town, FL; grandson, Evan Price; sister, Delores P. Piercy of Grenada; brother, Roy Price of Long Beach, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dena Fitzgerald, Kathryn LaRosa, Avis Hobbs, Audrey Paine and Alice Beck; and brothers, Hilry E. Price, Leon Price, Aubrey Price and Harold Price.
