BUTLER: Donald Ranshaw left this life, to reunite with his beloved wife Patricia, on Thursday morning, July 17, 2025. He was 96.
He was born July 8, 1929 in Barryton, Michigan to parents Clell and Anna (Westra) Ranshaw. Donald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, and looking for morel mushrooms. He especially loved spending time fishing in the Florida Keys and he loved traveling with his family.
Donald owned and operated Ranshaw Excavators for over 30 years.
He is survived by his four children; Brad (Christina) Ranshaw, Brenda (Terry) Miller, Tammy (Tim) Smith, Monay (Tom) Markey; grandchildren Tonya (Ben) Miller, Brian Ranshaw, Troy (Kristi) Miller, Tara (David) Vinson, Ciera (Mark) Markey, Ariel Markey, Trace (Morgan) Smith, Wesley (Tiffany) Dingus; great-grandchildren Justin (Erica) Miller, Joshua Miller, Collin Chalut, Garrett Ranshaw and Serena Nixon; great-great-grandchildren Ronnie Miller and Amara Miller.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his three brothers, and four sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. in Zion Cemetery at Four Corners near Butler.
