Donald Holt Riggleman, age 84 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, December 20, 2025, at Willow Tree Health Care Center in Charles Town, WV. Born on March 21, 1941, in Moorefield, he was the Bbeloved son of the late Olin Brown Riggleman and Anna “Virginia” Vetter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny Riggleman and David Riggleman.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Donald dedicated himself to his craft as a skilled carpenter. He often took joy in building a cozy cabin in the woods where he spent many cherished moments hunting and fishing. Those who knew him can vividly recall the sparkle in his eyes when he was outdoors, often accompanied by his faithful dog “Jake” on four-wheeler rides. Whether it was enjoying a thrilling football game on television or perfecting his homemade wine, Donald embraced life with a hearty spirit and a smile.
Surviving is a daughter, Christine (Wayne) Stonesifer of Hagerstown, MD; brothers, Keith “Slick” (Sandy) of Moorefield, WV and Steve Riggleman of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Judy Scritchfield of Fairmont, WV; a half-brother, Jesse F. Cleaver of Hagerstown, MD; five grandchildren, Carissa Poole, Melissa Poole, Donnie Riggleman, Megan Riggleman and Tyler Riggleman and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside inurnment will be held at the 12: PM, Saturday, january 3, 2026 in the Newhouse Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded bu the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veteran's Honor Guard.
