Donald G. Ripberger, 90, of Paragon, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Miller's Merry Manor in Mooresville.

He was born Wednesday, November 21, 1934 to the late Harry and Grace (White) Ripberger in Milton, Indiana.

Donald served his country in the United States Army and worked as a job setter at Detroit Diesel Allison for 37 years before his retirement. After he retired, he became a farmer and loved working in his fields. He was a member of several horseshoe-throwing teams and was a past member of the Martinsville Elks Club as well as working safety patrol at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 40 years and was a member of the Oldtimers Club for the Speedway.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice "Darlene" (Knoy) Ripberger, whom he married November 1, 1975; stepchildren, Cyndy (Smith) Jones and husband Randy, Kris Smith and wife Olivia, Denise (Smith) Walker and husband Greg, and Craig Smith; sisters, Patricia Boughner, Phyllis Glaub, Joyce Houseworth, Carolyn Hall, Marilyn Anderson and husband John; grandchildren, April Griffith, Lori Willinghurst, Stacey Walker, Evan Walker, Shawn Fisher, Danielle Fisher, Austin Smith, Rodney Jones, Ariel Dao, Morgan Hall, Mariah Sherfield, Madisyn Smith, Treyton Smith, Chandler Smith, Veronica Jeffers, Trevon Smith; brother-in-law, Wallace Hasselby; sisters-in-law, Marge Ripberger and Janice Ripberger; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Harry and Grace; son, Michael G. Ripberger; granddaughter, Miranda Peoples; sister, Wilma Hasselby; brothers, Robert Ripberger, James Ripberger and wife Rita, Charles Ripberger, David Ripberger; brothers-in-law, Francis Boughner, Louis Glaub, and Richard Houseworth.

Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Olive Christian Church, Paragon, IN. Services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Tinsley and Pastor Kurt Berger officiating.

Donald will be laid to rest with military honors at Olive Christian Church Cemetery.
