Donald K. Rummel

1938 - 2025

Donald K. Rummel, 87, formerly of Brackenridge, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 13, 1938, in Harrison Township, to the late Daniel G. and Margaret H. (Simmers) Rummel. Donald has lived the past four years in Tarentum and, prior to that, 52 years in Brackenridge. He was a printer for the Valley News for 40 years. Donald was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, the Valley News Retirement Club, and the Men's Fellowship at Trinity United Methodist Church. Donald graduated from Tarentum High School in 1956 and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was a sports fan, especially of Pittsburgh sports, the Steelers, the Pirates, and the Penguins. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Linda Lee (Anderson) Rummel; children, Ann M. Rummel, of Tarentum, and Kevin P. (Rhonda) Rummel, of Upper St. Clair; grandchildren, Kaelyn G. Rummel, of Upper St. Clair, Gerald Rummel, of Tarentum, Richard (Sue) Rummel, of Flagstaff, AZ, Beverly Carnathan, of Cabot, and David Rummel, of Fawn Township. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Services and burial in Mt.
