Donald L. Schuck
Of Minooka, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Don is survived by his loving wife Jacque L. Schuck (nee Cargle). His son Donald (Ronette) Schuck, Jr. and his two cherished granddaughters Haley and Madyson Schuck. He will also be missed by his loyal dog, Tator. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph F. and Frances Schuck. His brother Joseph Schuck. Born on October 10, 1944, in Joliet, Don was a lifelong resident of Minooka. He graduated from Minooka High School in 1962 and went on to attend Joliet Junior College, where he played basketball. A man of many talents and hard work, Don spent the majority of his life as a farmer, tending to the land and crops in Minooka. He retired after 58 years of service from Operating Engineers Local #150. Alongside his brother Joe, Don was also co-owner of Minooka Material and Construction Company for several years. Don was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, having been active in both the Joliet Lodge #300 and Wilmington Lodge #241. He enjoyed tending to his garden, especially his tomato plants, and had a passion for NASCAR, where he admired drivers like Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr. He was also an avid collector of International Harvester tractors and memorabilia. In his younger years, Don had a love of motorcycles and the freedom they represented. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, December 3rd from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
