Donald R. Sharp

Donald R. Sharp, 87, lifelong resident of South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Judith (Massicotte) Sharp died peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.
Donald was born in Manchester, CT, on June 22, 1938, son of the late Robert and Ellen (Foster) Sharp. Donald grew up in South Windsor and attended public schools. He met and married the love of his life, Judith Massicotte on June 30th, 1962 and they settled in South Windsor where they raised a family. Donald was a member of the Wapping Community Church & First Congregational Church in South Windsor. He worked in the construction industry retiring in 2008 from the Bahler Brothers in South Windsor. He enjoyed his family, gardening, wood working, and helping anyone who needed a hand with a project.
He leaves his daughters, Christine Kurtzman of South Windsor and Lori Czapla and her husband Walter of Manchester, his grandchildren, Michael Kurtzman and Aaron Kurtzman both of South Windsor, six siblings, Edward Sharp and his wife Barbara of Andover, Lois Pabst and her husband Brian of Tolland, Marion Loferski and her husband Michael of Coventry, Harry Sharp and his wife Ellen of South Windsor, Betty Harrison of South Windsor, and Ruth McGinley and her husband Wayne of Tolland, and many nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends and family on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 3-5pm at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 1pm meeting directly at the Wapping Community Church, 1790 Ellington Rd., South Windsor. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wapping Community Church or Labs4Rescue.com.
