Donald Edison Snyder

Snyder, Donald Edison of Flushing, age 78, died Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home 307 E. Main St. Flushing. Dale Moore will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the funeral home. A private burial of cremated remains will be at Great Lakes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Area Senior Center.
Don was born in Elyria, Ohio on December 14, 1946, the youngest of six children born to Debs and Sarah (Sutliff) Snyder. He married Frances "Fran" Moore on December 16, 1967, in Linden. Don proudly served the in the U.S. Army and later retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 35 years of honorable service. He graduated from General Motors Institute with his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and later with his master's degree from George Washington University. Don was employed by General Motors as a Safety and Industrial Hygienist and worked in the Flint Area for 30 years. He was a dedicated runner, never missing a day in over 35 years. He also enjoyed golfing. Don was a faithful member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Flint. His greatest love was his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fran; daughters, Deb Snyder, Sara and husband J.P. Berner; grandchildren Jonah and Eve Berner; sister, Leanna and husband Richard Cassidy; and special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ted, Jerry, Jeannie and Gordy.
